I’m Not Afraid To Show My Pride

By Clayton Ham

I’m not afraid to show my pride.

So what if I’m gay,

‘Cause I’m not going to hide.

Sure, I’ve had tears of pain I’ve cried,

But I didn’t hide from everyone, every day.

I’m not afraid to show my pride.

I have friends in which I can confide.

And I know everything’s gonna be okay

‘Cause I’m not going to hide.

I’m not looking for a bride.

When people see me with a man, I say,

“I’m not afraid to show my pride.”

So what if I want a man with a ring by my side.

I don’t care what people have to say,

I’m not going to hide.

Society tries to keep my love denied,

But I’m not going to let them have their way.

I’m not afraid to show my pride

And I’m not going to hide.
